  Unearthing Obsession

Unearthing Obsession is an exploration of intimacy, desire, and fixation through a queer lens. The project was born from a collaboration between myself and writer C.R. Taylor, whose gothic horror novel As They Kiss Consume became the foundation for this series of portraits.

Each image translates fragments of his text into a visual form - not as literal interpretations, but as emotional echoes. The process became a dialogue between us: his words guided my eye, and my photographs, in turn, began to shape his writing.

The portraits linger in the space between devotion and decay - where beauty turns obsessive and tenderness becomes consuming. Through this collaboration, we unearthed how prose and photography can feed off one another, each medium deepening the other’s desire to be seen, read, and felt.
